Can Dogs eat Chocolate? — Toxic

Chocolate

Toxic Sweets/Human Snacks

Chocolate is toxic to dogs. The theobromine and caffeine it contains can trigger vomiting, a racing heart, tremors and seizures — and the darker the chocolate, the greater the danger.

Clinical note: Theobromine toxicosis. Dark and baking chocolate carry the highest risk per gram of any common household sweet.
